Bruce Willis

Actor and musician Bruce Willis is well known for playing wisecracking or hard-edged characters, typically in spectacular action films. Collectively, he has appeared in films with a budget over $2.5 billion dollars. Walter Bruce Willis was born on the 19th of March, 1955, in Idar-Oberstein in West Germany, to a German mother, Marlene Kassel, and an American father, David Andrew Willis (from Carneys Point, New Jersey), who were then living on an United States military base. The family relocated to America soon following the birth of his son. He was raised in Penns Grove (New Jersey) where his mother worked as bank clerk, and his father was an electrician and worked in an industrial facility. Willis began to develop an interest for the dramatic arts in high school, and was "discovered" while working in a café in New York City and then was featured in several off-Broadway productions. In one bar it was discovered that he was spotted by a casting director who liked his style and wanted an bartender for a brief film part. Willis was a candidate for a variety of roles in films, however, he was not given credit. He finally got the role of David Addison, a private eye, along with Cybill Shepherd in the romantic comedy show Moonlighting (1985). His witty and sarcastic P.I. Some believe it's an opportunity to practice to test Willis his role in Die Hard (1988), in which he fought the thieves of a gang who were stealing from a Los Angeles skyscraper. The actor reprised his role as McClane in the sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990), set at a snowy Washington's Dulles International Airport as a group of renegade Special Forces soldiers seek to get back an infamous South American general. The film's excellent box office results prompted a sequel to Die Hard with avengeance (1995). This time, Samuel L. Jackson starred as a cynical Harlem shopkeeper who was unaware of his role and was forced to help McClane during a terror attack on a scorching New York City day.
