Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 . She moved to Kentwood (Louisiana). Britney was a dancer when she was a kid and has won numerous contests in gymnastics. Britney was a superb performer and dancer. Britney was only 8 years old when she attempted to join The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), however her age and youth led to her being rejected. Britney was later recommended to the off-Broadway musical "Ruthless" where she performed the title role for 2 years. At 11 years old, she tried again for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). It was a different time, she played one of the mouseketeers along with other popular stars from today, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. In the latter part of the 90s, Britney was signed by Jive Recording Artist. The debut album of Britney Spears, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as as of July 1, 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again" that came out in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has an older brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was a daughter of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to become a famous. Britney auditioned to The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on the television at the age of 8. However, she was too young for the part. Britney moved to New York with her mother and her baby sister. She appeared in a variety of TV advertisements and also served as an understudy for Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. Britney discovered her passion for music and dance two years later, when she auditioned for the role of "Mickey Mouse" which she won along with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
