Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a stage actor, writer and director, as is her mother, Sara Wood, is an actress and acting coach. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician, as well as Ira David Wood III, an actor. Evan and her brothers often appeared at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh. Her father founded it and is the director-executive. At the age five she screen-tested against Kirsten Dunst for the lead part in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) following a lengthy audition process. She has kept in touch all through her Once and Again (1999) and castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
