Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pineda, an Filipino musician/singer, rose to notoriety in the Philippines in the 1890s. He was also the new lead singer for the American rock group Journey in 2007. Arnel Pineda is 54 older. Arnel was born at St. Jude Thaddeus Diagnostic Clinic in Tondo Manila, Philippines to Restituto Liscious Pineda and Josefina Mannansala Campaner. His mother encouraged Arnel to sing while at a young age. The family members signed him up to participate in singing competitions. Arnel's mother passed away from heart disease at the age of Arel was 13. His mother passed away in February of 2006. After her death, his family was in financial hardship. His father was behind by six months in the payment of rent and was thus unable to earn a living for his family. Thus, his father asked his relatives to assist Arnel. Arnel is the youngest of three children: Roderick Pineda, Joselito Pineda, and Russmon Pineda. Arnel realized the problem and decided to quit school to ease the burden of his father. Arnel was a solitary man for nearly two decades in the streets, sleeping whenever the opportunity arose. He took glass bottles, newspapers and scrap metals, and offered them to recyclers. Arnel was also employed in odd jobs such as docking ships, and cleaning scrap metal. Cherry Pineda and Arnel are married. They were married in 2001. The couple has two children together one daughter (Theachenelle Pineda) and a son (Cherub). Arnel has two older children: Matthew and Angelo.
