Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
rose to fame as a part of the cast of "Saturday Night Live," before
appearing on such major-screen comedies such as 'Elf"Anchorman,"
"Talladega Nights.' Will Ferrell was born in Irvine in the year 1967. He
began his comedic career as a member of the group based in Los Angeles, The
Groundlings. Following his seven years as a Saturday Night Live Cast Member,
Ferrell was one of the top comedians in the business through off-color
successes such as Old School (2003) or Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
(2004). Ferrell is also co-creator of the popular video streaming site Funny or
Die, and had success as a voiceover actor via animated features like Megamind
(2010). John William Ferrell was born on the 16th of July, 1967, in Irvine,
California. Will Ferrell was the eldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist
Lee Ferrell and instructor Kay Ferrell. He was himself, as he admitted, not
exactly the class clown while he was a University High School student. He was
quiet and reserved and he opted to be a football player with a record at the
school for the highest number of field goals scored. Ferrell was a more
laid-back person at home in the suburbs and didn't have the same outlandish or
humorous outbursts later to define his career. His mother who was interviewed
by Esquire she said that her son was very calm and amiable. "You are
familiar with those tiny Matchbox cars? Will be ecstatic when he lined up all
of his Matchbox cars by himself. You'd ask "Do you want to visit
Disneyland this morning?" or "You want your cars lined up?" And
he'd have to think about the idea. "That's not to say that Ferrell was a
total straight-laced man. One glimpse of Ferrell's comedy talent was displayed
every morning at high school when Ferrell disguised himself in order to
announce his day's events on the loudspeaker system. Ferrell graduated from the
University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1986. He joined the Delta Tau
fraternity, and went on to pursue a degree in sports journalism.
