Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actor who is most well popular for her work in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. She has proved her versatility in 2003 with her outstanding performances on TV shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 1-8-7 as well as Under the Dome. The role she played of Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to grab her the attention of viewers. Her performance in the biographical film All the Way as the woman's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hammer brought Hind to the notice of the world at large. Hind received praise for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show has been renewed for the third season on 20th Century Fox Television. Hind has recently finished filming the Hollywood feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
